Drunk teen driver pleads guilty in cabbie’s fiery death

In the early morning of June 5, 2009, Claudia Valenzuela decided to take Balwinder Gill’s taxi home after having two glasses of wine.

It was a deadly decision that would change many lives.

Moments later, Gill’s taxi was struck by a Honda Prelude driven by a 19-year-old impaired driver who sped through a red light at Bovaird Dr. and Dixie Rd. in Brampton.
